Custom Packing On pallet

Hi community,

In my model, I wanted to pack the items as shown in the following image.

But when I use pack option in the combiner they are seen like this after packing

How to solve the issue?

This question is related to wherever you stack packed pallets: queues, rack slots and vehicles. @Jason Lightfoot has shown recently a workaround in several of his answers.

Your desired stacking outcome is now the standard packing method in 23.1 (still no un-packing):

Here's an example model which just uses default behavior.

Your suggestion almost helped me, but when I try to pack the 6 items. The first two items are being packed vertically but from the third item they are penetrated into the second item as shown in the screenshot below.

Your model isn't using the new packing method. (I assume it was created in a previous version and later saved in 23.1?)

You can copy both the new packing logic and the Pallet flowitem from a fresh model created in 23.1 to your model by copy/pasting the relevant nodes. (The pallet has different shape factors which is why you need to replace the old flowitem)

Then set the pallet to use the Pallet Stacking packing logic and adjust the size back to what you are using in the model.

You are right! The model was built in previous version and saved in the latest version.

As you said I have copy pasted the Pallet stacking node. But I have no idea what it means by pasting pallet object.

Could you please look at my model.

Change all pallet sources to use pallet2 (3 are invisible) and set pallet2 to use the PalletStacking method.

No it's not correct - why did you rename the pallet from pallet2? Now you have two subnodes with the same name which can only cause issues.

When you see errors in the system or compiler console, they are not to be ignored.

We can go back and forth with messed up models all day. Use the one I uploaded above.

(Update: You didn't choose pallet2 for sources 3,4 and 5 for which you will also need to copy across the resize oncreate trigger)
