Connecting Access database

[ FlexSim 18.2.2 ]

I tried to connect Access database to FlexSim with database connector. I'm having troubles with the connection. It says: "Connection failed with Error: IM002 [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified.".

I have configured the Access database into System DSN.

Can you help me?

You can try connecting using the Database Connector tool using ODBC. Just follow these steps to customize the connection string:

Open a Tree view
Open the variables of the Database Connector you wish to edit
Remove the dbAddress value
Remove the dbName value
Put the DSN name as the dbString value

If the dbString value is specified in the tree, then it will use that as the connection instead instead of concatenating the dbAddress and dbName fields.

You could also use the old db*() commands.

I have tried to follow the steps you described to connect to the access database.When I clicked the "Test Connection" button,it shows "Connection Succeeded", but the system console reported the following error:

exception: Exception thrown in database table list update: HY000 [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] ֒һսτݾ 'C:\Program Files\FlexSim 2019 Update 1\program\INFORMATION_SCHEMA.mdb'c

When I used the code to connect the test, it was good.

How to solve the problem of manual connection error?Could you help me? @jordan.johnson

I upload my setting when using AccessDB. You need to set the information of dbtype and dbstring like above in tree not odbc wizard screen.

dbstring is DSN name you set in ODBC connection.
