[ FlexSim 19.1.0 ]

trial-viejo.fsmI have 3 machines. the first one's CT is 12 seconds, the second machine's CT is 16 seconds and the third one's 12 s. As you can tell, the bottleneck is my 16second one and therefore, I would need the 1st machine to stop producing once the Queue 1 reaches 400 pieces. At the same time, the second machine will keep pulling material from it and machine 1 will just need to worry about completing the max of 400 pcs. Machine 3 will wait on the second machine as well but a buffer/queue of 400 will be needed in order for the production to remain unaltered. Could someone please help me out? The simulation goes for 520 mins = 31200. Therefore, the first machine can produce 2210 pcs, 2nd one can produce 1658 and 3rd can produce 2210pcs considering they all run at 85%. Thanks!

@Karina GM2

You can change the maximum content of the Queue 1 so that it can only hold 400 items. This will automatically stop the first processor from producing more items till the Queue 1 isn't at max. As for a buffer queue, you may be able to add a second queue in-between the third processor and "Queue 8" that has a max of 400 items. Let me know if this is what you are trying to do? And if not please let me know more and I can try to solve the problem.
