AS/RS vehicle storing and retrieving materials in only rack

[ FlexSim 22.2.0 ]

Hi,

With the help of Tutorials, trial&error and community support by @Jacob W2.

I was able to build a model with a

Source->Queue1->ASRSVechicle1->Rack1 (For Storage)

Rack1->ASRSVechicle1->Queue2-> Sink (For retrieval)

However, I am trying to add a second rack and use only one ASRS vehicle to store and retrieve materials from both racks.

As per the support received.

I have used "A" connector for Queue1<--> Rack2, Queue2<-->Rack2

and

"S" connector between ASRS Vehicle1<-->Rack2, ASRS Vehicle1<-->Queue1 & ASRS Vehicle1<--> Rack2, ASRS Vehicle1<--> Queue2

Materials are getting stored and retrieved only in rack1.

Can the community help troubleshooting the error to store the materials in rack2 also?

You need to set the output port so that it can choose a different port. Currently your model has selected to use a sub flow but there is no sub flow. I set it to random and it places flow items in both racks.

I'm unable to troubleshoot. Kindly can you tell which output should be changed (ASRS Vehicle1 or Rack 1 or Rack 2).

Also, can you tell more about the subflow?

Sorry I should have mentioned it is the queue that the items come from to go into the racks. Please references our manual to learn more details about things such as subflows. You will also find tutorials in that manual that will help you learn FlexSim.
