[ FlexSim 18.0.7 ]

calculatenumberofblockeditemsonconveyor2.fsm

I am having an issue calculating the maximum number of items that are waiting on a particular conveyor in a conveyor system (see attached example).

I have found a way to work out the number at a given time, but I was wondering if there is a stat that the conveyor calculates for the maximum waiting over a time period, or a particular trigger point that I could use?

I think, that this isn't possible. You can get the items in the system by defining a zone or balance the input and output. But how would you define items waiting. The items don't move, because an output is blocked, because there isn't a gap, where an item can align, because a trigger has stopped an item or a station processes an item. Try the staytime statistic!

@Daniel A5, Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but you could click on the conveyor you would like a statistic for and then look in the quick properties. There is the min, max, and average Staytime of the objects on the conveyor. There is also the current, min, max, and average Content on the conveyor. You could pin that to a dashboard and compare it with the Run Time. Does this help at all?

I haven't found a solution yet. I have found away to calculate the number of things on a conveyor that aren't moving at a given time, but I was more hoping there was a statistic to know the maximum number of things that weren't moving. I don't think this is possible.

If you are able to calculate the number of things on a conveyor that aren't moving at a given time, are you able to use a global variable that changes as a new maximum is calculated?

How were you able to calculate the number of things that aren't moving at a given time?

Do you still need help with this question?
