Distance between flow items?

Hello,

As shown in the picture, I want to keep the distance from the center of the box to the center of the next box at 6 meter

I set the conveyor space (Stopping, Moving, Entry) as follows by referring to the manual. Is it correct?

In the manual, it is mentioned as the front edge of the item, so I ask a question.

(I have a low understanding of Entry, Stopping, and moving space.)

As long as all items have the same size, you can just use a fixed offset. Since, as you say, the distance is measured from front edge to front edge.

(In practice it wouldn't matter if the distance is given as a fixed value or calculated from the constant item size)

If the items have different sizes, then these settings alone are not enough to enforce a constant distance between their centers, since the spacing would depend on both items' sizes. For this you could use a decision point or station that delays items depending on their and the previous item's size as well as the distance that is already between them.

In your case the spacing is also influenced by the fact that the items enter the conveyor in a different orientation and are then rotated. It would be easier if you set the Entry Transfer to use the correct orientation and leave out the rotation (except of course if the rotation action is part of the actual system you are trying to model).
