3D files do not appear

Hello!

I have a problem in FlexSim that boils down to my 3D files, made in SketchUp, disappearing from FlexSim after doing a media reload.

The project was developed on two different computers, both the FlexSim file and the SketchUp files, and the problem occurred after we reloaded some media. Seeking to solve it, we joined all the files (FlexSim + SketchUp) in the same folder and gave a new media reload, but still, the problem continued to occur.

Obs.: It's important to remember that we will still use the FlexSim on two or more computers.

Try making sure your shape paths are relative to the model location and not absolute references from the drive letter.

Hello,

You can try to reload your files using the following path: File > System > Reload Medias.

There is a picture showing you how to proceed.

Reload media is what the OP describes as causing the problem. It's not that the shape wasn't there - it was, and then disappeared when reloading the media. This makes me think the path is not the same on both PCs.

If you put the files in a folder called 'shapes' where the model is saved then you can use the relative file path to just refer to "shapes/myshape.fbx".

How can i change the relative file path existent? We use the computers in differents users, so currently this change the name of the path.

Once the model is saved in a folder you can reference relative to the model file location. The path here is shapes\testshape.ac where "shapes" is the folder at the same location as the model file.

If you then look at the packed media embedded with the model you see the files are grouped by folder with one folder being called just "shapes" without the full path:
