@Cliff King, to expand on this, how would I get the length of stay an item was in the model (created until it exited or reached a certain point)? The only way I can think of is using a data collector but I'm not entirely sure how that process would work regarding items.

[ FlexSim HC 5.3.4 ]

pharmacy.jpg

I have a pharmacy represented by the three item objects shown on the attached jpg file. I want to collect the dwell time for item objects Pharm_In and Pharmacy. I have tried to do this with data collectors without any success. I cannot find any help on this forum.

Suggestions??

Thanks,

Then you can use the eyedropper to select the item going in and out. Another option is you can set a specific group of items going in and out of your process by using the add button next to the eyedropper, but you have to make sure to make a group with your items first. Let me know if this is what you are looking for.

You don't need a Data Collector, because "Dwell Time" for Item Objects is a standard dashboard widget. Here's an example model using this dashboard.
