Hi

I have just started using Flexsim and i was wondering what the correct way is to export Texture from Cinema 4D to Flexsim? And wether or not i have to bake the textures in Cinema 4D into one Material.

Cinema 4D has a complicated material system. When you export to a 3D file format, it isn't going to preserve all that detail.

Bake all those effects into textures.
Ok i see, would it make more sense then to work from Blender?

Thank you for the quick risponse @Phil BoBo

Blender's material system works the same way, but its export formats are probably even worse in this regard than Cinema 4D. You aren't going to have an easier time with Blender. See Blender 2.81 shape not imported.

Cinema 4D's texture baking feature looks pretty good to me. Given a choice, I'd probably use Cinema 4D instead of Blender.
