Using the emulation tool can I build the 3D objects as the machinery system and then by using the emulation tool I connect the inputs and outputs in the FlexSim model to the inputs and outputs in the PLC by tag ID without programming so the PLC will enter the values of both inputs and outputs of the FlexSim model.

Is that possible or I still need to make a process flow and program everything and then connect the variables to the PLC?

You can connect the PLC using emulation tool as macine tending or line digital twin.

Input and Output are all possible as you think.
