How to accelerate flow item on conveyor?

[ FlexSim 21.2.3 ]

Hey, so I have a flow item travelling between two conveyors that has to include acceleration due to speed change. Conveyor 1 (C1) has a speed of 40fpm with dimensions of 4ft wide and 7ft long and Conveyor 2 (C2) has a speed of 150fpm with dimensions of 4ft wide and 9ft long. The flow item is 8.1x3.28x0.03ft. In reality, the flow item wouldn't travel 150fpm as soon as the leading edge of the item touches C2. It would hit 150fpm at C2's center point. So in between C2 starting point and center point, the flow item would accelerate from 40fpm to 150fpm. I was wondering is there anyway to simulate this acceleration? Could I use process flow or some other method to do this?

The model I included is a portion of my conveyor system btw.

I suggest you check the acceleration on a different smaller model. If the acceleration is already a part of the default logic by photo eyes then you should think about a different approach to limit the amount of used objects somewhere else in your model rather than to implement a source code doing the action of an photo eye.

Otherwise you can contact your FlexSim distributor and discuss the different licenses he can provide in your situation.
