Hi,

I got hold of the latest version of Mocha and did a few test with Flame.

In Mocha, I set up a shape to do my planar track. Next I added in the insert and offset the corners to the positions covering the area for the 4-point track.

To export the data, I chose to EXPORT OFFSET TRACKING DATA as a Autodesk IFFFSE Stabilizer Data.

I went into Flame and set up my surfaces. I changed the image surface to Bilinear and selected all 4 corners.

I went into the Stabilizer and loaded the tracking data. It matches what I saw in Mocha.

When I exit the Stabilizer the corners of the Bilinear surface match what I offset in Mocha and no adjustments are needed.

This work seems to be solid and it also worked with EXPORT TRACKING DATA as a Autodesk IFFFSE Stabilizer data.

Please note that if your track was 100%, you can still adjust the corners further in Flame and the offsets will stick with the tracking data.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Hi,

i am in the process of switching from Nuke to Flame.

I am used to track a lot in Mocha and from importing Mocha Tracks to Nuke

is basically Copy&Paste and a few clicks.

In Nuke I get a the Tracking Data in a Corner Pin Node and got to the Reference Frame.

I can then Set the Current Frame to my Referance Frame and thats it.

In Flame however, i find myself importing my Tracking Data onto a Bicubic and then fiddling

quite a Bit in the "2-UP Mode" to get the Placement Right.

Is there a way to do this faster?

Thank you 🙂

-haneiter

Hi,

How are you exporting the tracking data out of Mocha? Which settings are you using?

Are you loading the tracking data into the stabiliser or are you loading an action setup in Flame.

It should not be difficult but I just want to narrow down what you're doing.

Regards
Grant

Hi,

thank you for your time. I switch a lot between Nuke and Flame and have currently no acces to the flame.

Will test this as soon as I can.

I think the problem is that i seldomly have 4 Corners.

Let say I have som Beauty work to do.

In Nuke i woud go to Mocha, track the Face Copy&Paste to Nuke.

Now i draw shapes for things I want to ColorCorrect/Retouch tell my corner Pin please use the Frame

I drew my shapes on as a reference and the shapes are tracking correctly.

This works without setting anything in Mocha and with every shape.

In Flame i think there is no "set to reference frame" function.

Nuke has to Tabs in the Corner Pin "To" and "From" Values.

The 4 To Values hold the Mocha Tracking Date, if I want to set a Reference Frame I copy the Values from the "To" Tab to the "From" Tab, so at this Frame the Corner Pin does nothing and I have a Reference Frame.

Is there a similar Function in Flame?

Help please,

I did all the steps in exporting tracking data in Mocha Pro and loading it in Autodesk Flame 2017 using 4 point bilinear stabilizer, but it's not working. i've watched and read all the tutorials that i can find but so far i can't get it to work.

I have successfully loaded the tracking data of mocha pro into flame. but when i scrub or press play it doesn't work or the footage seems not reading the data.

btw the what am i tracking is a phone screen,

Thank you
