Hi,

My name is Nico and I recently installed an education version of Flame 2018 on my Mac. I was interested in installing Smoke at the same time to get a side by side comparison but would crash upon trying to install. I read online I could make this work by uninstalling Flame, then installing Smoke, and re-installing Flame but after I finished installing smoke the installation failed. When I tried to reinstall Flame I fail the same way. I am referred to look for an error code within the installer log. Here is my log:

Issue:

When you run your MAC installer, you receive an error during the install that may reference AdSSO.pkg. If you accept this message and the install completes, the software does not function.

Causes:

MAC module Certificate mismatch in the installer

Solution:

Download and install the appropriate AdSSO.pkg file for your system and install it.

Download an updated package and move to your MAC desktop
- 2016 year products download: AdSSO.pkg
- 2017 and newer products download: AdSSo-V2.pkg
Double-click the downloaded package to mount the installer
Follow and accept the prompts to install
Close the installer when complete
Install the appropriate program or run the desired program if already installed

Hey again,

I successfully installed the AdSSo-V2.pkg for the 2017 and newer products in order to install the educational Flame 2018 version but still am getting a installation failure. I was still hopeful however because if I had gotten the program installed I could have worked around it but Flame 2018 isn't even installing on my device. The installer is running, saying it's installing everything and then giving me a big red X and saying it failed. I tried multiple times to be sure, still no luck.

At the end of my logs, which I've copied below I am seeing an "executor doesn't exist" issue that I didn't notice before. Any ideas?

can you check in the applications folder and see if it is there even with the failure.

In my autodesk folder in my applications I only have three folders: one called "Adlm" one called "Synergy" and one called "maya2017." Maya is obviously for Maya but no other folder or files exist.

I am as well having the same problem with the educational version. I tried on two machines, both running sierra (10.12.2, and 10.12.3). Neither one would install the application. I look at the folder, and flame is not there.

I saw a post on what the ids should be (5522710 /usr/discreet,5522710 /opt/Autodesk). mine are below.

/usr/discreet = 455187

/opt/Autodesk = 4338937

For kicks I tried installing on a system with 10.11.3, and it had errors but did install into the folder.

My logs for the Mac OS 10.12.2 are attached.

To be clear, the IDs of /usr/discreet and /opt/Autodesk should not be 5522710 per se but they should be identical.

What other Autodesk applications (and versions) are installed on your workstation?

yes, it is on the workstation (a laptop). when I did the terminal "ls -id /usr/discreet" and "ls -id /opt/Autodesk". My numbers do not match. I tried deleting the folder via terminal and starting again, but it still would not install.

I'm trying to install Flame 2018.3 educational version on macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 and it fails. I do not have any other Autodesk applications installed. I've attached a screenshot of the end of the Install.log file. I checked the Applications folder and the Autodesk folder is there. I can see the Flame alias but it's solid which and click on it does not do anything.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

exist and do not point to the same location.
