Hello Bill,

I couldn't reproduce this problem in Flame 2019.2 Update and Flame 2020. When I create a Batch Group from a 10-bit timeline segment I get a Render node set to 10-bit. Could you give us more details about your project configuration and the timeline segments itself. Are there any Timeline FX on it?

When I create a clip 10bit and then go into conform to "Create Batch Group" all the cuts are now batches , however on the render nodes the bit depth is always set to 8 bit is it possible to have that default to bit depth of clip , is it even available to set that to default to 10bit like the clips?

Hi fred,

So I am not using an EDL or XML etc to make the batch groups. I am building my timeline cutting it up using scene detect and have the offline below it. The primary track is the source material and then make that the record track go into conform and press “create batch group”. What happens is the primary track (source clips) are connected to the output node as it should but the output node is 8 bit. I know in the past having the offline on track below caused problems so maybe thats why its picking it up as 8 bit, but its weird that it would be connecting the source material and not the offline but giving it the parameters of the track below it (8 bit).
