After I export the DCP files. The picture can't be played in any DCP player. But the sound is OK. But the picture can be played in other player very well, like Elmedia player.

But if I export the easyDCP files from Davinci Resolve. They are OK. They can be played in any DCP player.

The attachment file shows the error message in easyDCP player.

Thanks.

Someone replied me: IMF holds no international cinema value! it is very new and will not be adopted for a long time. we are still using interop standard worldwide from 2001 (not even SMPTE from 2007 is broadly spread). so better use davinci resolve with its own kakadu DCP or the easydcp plugin for fully supported and conform DCPs – for now IMF serves no purpose and DCI regulations have not yet adopted to it.

I don't know what's Autodesk thinking.

Hi Sztom998,

The implementation of the IMF export using the DCP plug-in in Flame 2020.1 is specifically for broadcasters who stream content. Their main requirement is an IMF (IMP) package in order to shape their deliverables and then stream them accordingly. You'll note that in the presets, we have followed the Netflix settings to ensure the demand is met. If you work with other broadcasters using IMF, you can create your own presets to meet your requirements.

At this point, we do not support a DCP export for digital cinema but that could be looked at in the future.

I have covered all these details in a video on the Flame Learning Channel.

This will give you a full explanation of the IMF Export and how it works in Flame 2020.1.

Please hit the Accept as Solution button if my post fully solves your issue or answers your question.

Regards

Grant
