Hello Sam,

You can go to /opt/Autodesk/<version>/bin/res/ and run the customizeUser.py script. This will copy the basic Flame user environment to the user of your choice.

Please accept this as a solution if you feel your question has been answered.

Hello Fred,

Thank you for pointing out that python script. It does as you say.

What I am trying to do is to alter the minimum necessary items in an already created user, for example a user named "AnySingleFlameVersion", without altering any of the already setup configs...i.e. terminal font sizes, background desktop colors, widget panels, etc. I have a newly created user on a very hires monitor with a lot of customizations for fonts, title bar sizes, monitor layout, etc and would like to avoid having to set those back to my configs each time there is a flame update.

What I was referring to was mention of a list of things to change, something like environment variables and user groups, that could be manually altered to cause the unique user to now be able to run a specific version of flame without altering anything unecessary that had already been configured. Is there such a list?

Hello Sam,

No, we do not have such a formatted list. I think the best resource is the python script itself. There are a lot of comments in there so you can have a look and see what is modified.
