I believe there is no charge for post mods if you are on software maintenance, and so far FeatureCam has been very helpful for us when asking them to modify posts.

It's generally easier to send them your post with examples of what it does and what you want it to do and have them modify it. This does take some time for them to schedule it and do it but generally it hasn't been more than a few days. Sometimes a few days seems like forever, but they have done a pretty good job for us. If they have questions they will call you to clarify and work out issues.

The posts are not locked so you can modify the post to your hearts content, just remember to save a good copy in case something unexpected happens.

Wish I had more time to work with and learn the FC posts.

Generally it is the machine tool builder that provides you with the example of nc code for the pallet change.

If you mention your machine type and model somebody here may have a sample...

Usually there is a short 'Main' program (supplied by CNC manufacturer) that then operator edits directly.

That main program calls each of the the regular CNC part programs that are that CAM system generates.

The main program may have some machine-specific M codes.

Anyway it is unlikely you want the main program generated by a CAM system.

Therefore you probably do not want your post process modified for this reason. Hope it helps.

Yes, it is true

I found an example of Pallet change macro (M60) sequence

When pallet exchange instruction (M60) is executed, pallets are automatically
exchanged in the order of operating the following.
It is necessary to finish the workpiece setting before it instructs in M60.

Pallet change macro (M60):

G90 G53 Z0; Z axis move 0 position

G90 G53 Y0 A0 C0; Y, A and C axes moves 0 position

G90 G53 X50.0; X axis move for A pallet APC position (In case of A-pallet transfer-out)

(G90 G53 X1450.0 😉 X axis move for B pallet APC position (In case of B-pallet transfer-out)

G65 P9021; Pallet transfer-out command (M61)

G90 G53 X1450.0 ; X axis move for B pallet APC position (In case of B-pallet transfer-in)

(G90 G53 X50.0;) X axis move for A pallet APC position (In case of A-pallet transfer-in)

G65 P9022; Pallet transfer-in command (M62)

(M60 macro finish)

p.s.

it's SNK machine tool (japan)

Thank you
