Try going to tool mapping and show all tools saved in crib and show empty tool slots now go thru and clear in crib any tools you may have over the number of tools saved in that crib over the number you are trying to keep. I have 30 slots but only use 28 for tool probe and setter so when a specific tool is called it will not be used in 29 or 30 however sometimes if a tool is not assigned to a slot the software may place it in 29-30 but that's not very often. If your job only uses 23 tools for insistence tool mapping will only show 23 tools.

Hope all this makes sense.

MAX TOOL SLOT AVAILABLE

My machine has a maximum of 25 tool slots available.

I have dedicated tool slots for certain tools and is set per tool in my library, but for non standard tooling such as drills, or reamers I let featurecam decide what tool number is assigned.

The issue I have now is tools being assigned to a non existent slot number, such as T27 for example. How do I adjust for this, that my machine max tool capacity is only 25 slots? For now, I manually have to change all tools that exceed my maximum tool slots.

When you open tool mapping there is a plus sing above your tool number 1 you can add tool slots or remove slots simply by typing in the number of slots you have. Hope this helps! If it solves your query, please select this reply as the solution!

@AJHanson

Thanks for your input, that taught me something new about tool mapping. But iam trying to eliminate the extra tool slots that are exceeding my actual tool slot count.

As I click on the + sign, it defaults to 28, I input 25 and no change. I need the tool mapping to correspond to only 25 holders as a default to prevent auto assigned tool numbers that are not available. Any other thoughts? Its gotta be a default somewhere to limit the tool slot count? hmmmm
