Hello,

I am programming a Mazak Vortex 5 axis mill. the problem is the first operation is using a 2 inch dia face mill at zero deg and when that operation is done i use the same face mill on the side of the part, the CNC code keeps the tool at zero degrees and it should rotate to 90 degrees on the next operation, anyone else have the same issue?

Francesco,

Thank you for the reply, its not a 5 axis tool path, i am going from B0 to B90 and the post doesnt want to do that, i thought i was missing a feature in the software but autodesk says as lon as my setups are pointing the right direction in the UCS the post should change the B axis.

Hi @Anonymous

I also think there is to verify the post processor.
If in CNC-info -> General, you have set the axes as in the image attached, you cannot write toolpaths in 5 axes positioning
