change design manager zoom

is there a way to modify the degree of zoom when selecting parts on the board editor using the design manager? the zoom to function is useful but sometimes it zooms way too close for it to be useful. thanks

Not sure if this is what you mean, but in Options->User interface... from teh drop down menu you can change the mouse wheel zoom factor to be more or less aggressive. Might help.

No, that's not what I meant.

In the board editor you can use the design manager to highlight components selected from a list. There are two toggles in the top right corner of the design manager window. One toggles the highlight of the selected component, whilst the second zooms to the component.

My issue is that the zoom is far to close to be usable (in my opinion). if the scale of zoom could be adjustable it would be much more useful.

Unfortunately, we currently do not have any adjustable zoom setting for Design Manager zoom.

Could you let us know your use case where adjustable zoom is needed for Design Manager zoom? Your feedback would help us know the importance of utility of the feature.

Same issue here.

The design manager is zooming far to much and alters zoom at each item selection. I think it should not change the zoom at all.

User can easily alter the zoom if needed.

If you have want to show the amazing zoom you can do it first time user enters the list, but rather not.

I found a work around until zoom problem is fixed. Select all items in the design manager list and it will zoom to all selected items visible. Then you can ctrl-click toggle an item selection on and off to see where it flashes. If you want the insane zoom - just click the single item.

Hi @Anonymous ,

You may toggle the setting of zoom and choose not to zoom when something is selected in design manager by clicking on "Zoom to selection" button on top right corner of design manager.

I clicked the options a few times thinking they where tabs, but did not notice they actually toggled on each click.

(If the toggle options where moved a few pixels down they would look less like tabs.)
