Polygons in footprint not connecting to pad nets

I'm new to Eagle, and I'm using a footprint that was provided by the manufacturer for a FET. The footprint includes some polygons that are supposed to be connected to pads, but they don't connect.

Is there a way to make the polygon connect to the net I want? I can't seem to unlock the part primitives to access the individual features, and the footprint editor doesn't have any obvious options for connecting the nets.

Copper polygons (on layer 1 or 16) in a footprint should automatically become extensions of a pad (PTH or SMD) that is entirely enclosed within the polygon. I did see someone post that it was necessary for the pad to be the full width or height of the polygon but I'm pretty sure that's not the design intent.

That was the problem. The footprint I imported from Ultralibrarian did not have the polygon completely covering the pin pads. I redrew the polygons and the polygons had the correct net.
