I did load your library, I did notice that all your power pins are there. So I am not sure exactly what you mean by not able to see it, they seem to be all there. This component will not allow you to hide the power pins since they are hard-coded into main the symbol and not treated a separate gate.

Hi, I use Eagle 8.2 and Ultra Librarian 8.1.

Texas Instruments provide BXL files so I have downloaded the BXL file for TM4c123GH MCU and export it as an Eagle LBR library file.

Everything was fine except that the Vdd pins and GND pins are not visible while working with Eagle.

So my questions are,

1) How can I make those pins visible or invisible? I want to connect them with capacitors.

2) If the pins are invisible, is it impossible to connect them with capacitors or short them to ground?

-Best Regards

Hi, I can't understand what your means. I guess You may just do not like to see these repeated power supply pin.

but in EAGLE, you can connet a pin connect (or map) with many pad,

operate use SHIFT or CTRL, or use append button..

like this:

Hi, huayuliang. As you see my attached picture, the MCU, which was exported using Ultra Librarian, doesn't show pin 2, 11, 26, 42, 54, and more.

Those pins are related to power; Vdd or GND.

I have uploaded the LBR file. You can see this too after you add the LBR file.

I want to connect nets to those pins to connect capacitors.

I suppose those power related pins are hidden. So I wish to find a way to see those pins using Eagle.

Thanks for recording the video for me! However, I think that is not I'm looking for.

Can you view this LBR file and connect those pins with capacitors?

Also, in the video, what window is that? It doesn't look like the "Control Panel" or the "Schematic" window.

-Best Regards

Hi snopooty,

Greatly appreciate your participation on the forum, I will do my best to provide you some options you can try, but I will admit I am not an expert on Ultra Librarian. In EAGLE, we usually treat power pins as a separate gate, I'm going to assume that UL is doing the same. The main body of the symbol only contains all the signal contacts while the Power pins are a separate symbol (gate) with the Add Level set to REQUEST.

Power pins will automatically get connected to other power pins when you transfer to the board, we do this intentionally to clear up the schematic a bit and it also allows you to manually control placement of the power pins.

If UL follows our component design guidelines, you will be able to use the INVOKE command to retrieve your power pins and place them where you think it best suited for your schematic. If you don't need them displayed, then you can delete them and they will return to their un-invoke state.

You can right click the component at it origin to access the context menu INVOKE option.

I hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Hello. Thanks for your time. This is strange.

Compared to huayuliang's uploaded picture, this is what I see at the "Schematic" window few days ago.

I should correct my words; I couldn't see those pins few days ago, but now I can.

Although I haven't used the "Invoke" option, those pins appear now. Hmm...

Well, I guess this might be a refresh problem from my Windows 10 machine.

Anyways, thanks for your time every body and thanks for the tutorial as well. 🙂

-Best Regards
