Hello,

For an internship project I need to make a polarity tester for a rotor with permanent magnets on it. I will be testing the polarity with Hall-sensors around the magnet.

Now i want to make a ring shaped PCB where I can solder the Hall-sensors onto. Does anyone know how to do this since I'm totally new to the PCB design environment.

On the internet I found a similar PCB design how it should look like. Here is the link:

http://www.robotroom.com/Microscope/Macro/Ringlight-in-PCB-layout-program.gif

Thanks in advance.

Lars

Hi Lars,

You need to delete the rectangular board shape from the dimension layer and draw two circles on this layer which are the inner and outer diameter of your ring. EAGLE will then determine the outer circle is the board outline and the inner circle is a cut out.

Best Regards,

Rachael

Hi Rachael,

Thanks for your quick reply!

I will try it as soon EAGLE is running correctly because it's crashing all the time.

Regards,

Lars
