Hello,

I've been playing with the Fusion Sync Beta tool and had successfully push Designs to Fusion but now I'm getting the erro 401, is there something temporarily going on now?

Hi @rada.mar,

I hope you're doing well. Did you make any changes to the local copy of the libary? If you did those must be pushed to the cloud before the push can be successful. Make sure to do an update on your design so that it references the latest version of your Managed library.

Hi,

I'm struggling with the same issue. I can pull data from Fusion into Eagle, but can't push from Eagle into Fusion.

I'm only using 3 libraries in the design and all 3 are managed (1 is a library created by me, the others are the managed versions of rcl and supply2 that are included with Eagle. I've updated the libraries and made sure all components are on the latest library version, but i'm still not able to push the library to Fusion.

Any Suggestions?

Hey Radames! I'm having a similar problem trying to use this exciting feature.

No error code, just "Error"

I wonder if only certain libraries are compatible? Perhaps libraries with 3D versions of each component?

Thanks for visiting our neck of the woods. One of my colleagues showed me the post you made on the Fusion360 forums. He's going to be responding your original post, I'll respond here.

If you are one of those users who never closes programs or turns their computer off this is one of those times to close EAGLE. There was an issue where if a design was untouched for a while the bridge between Fusion360 and EAGLE would appear to close. The solution was to restart EAGLE and I encourage you to try that now.

Inside Fusion360, can you perhaps open a previous version of the file and then push within EAGLE again?

Please let me know if you continue to run into problems and I'll escalate the issue.

Hi Rob,

I'm not sure what made it works ,I've restarted the project and follow the youtube video to create my own managed library https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZ8cBNBsJwE

I think this is the best approach, you project has components from different libraries, follow the video, then here is a script that create a library from all components you are using on your project, some can have 3D packages some not, then you manage the library in the online tool and do the 3D packages for all components, update your library on your Eagle project then push to fusion.

The process is a bit slow if the components you selected don't have it the 3D packages.

I'm still having some issues to push from fusion back to eagle with new parts positions, but so far my first experiment went well.

Ant updates on what could be causing, and the fix?

I had this issue show up without any known reasons.

I feel that needing to consolidate or change libraries is not a acceptable answer. I am only using managed libraries as far as I know and do not want to change how I am organizing them just for one error on one board.

I am still battling this, and I really want to avoid consolidating the libraries I have been working on organizing I want to figure out how to fix this.

Since Jorge suggest library issues, and looking closer it appears there is at least two issues I found. One, probably more my fault, is that some parts might of referenced a library that was deleted. I was able to replace those and things look okay. The second is that several parts do not update the library version unless I edit them in the library. So when I make a library version, some parts update without effort and some do not... unless I go back in the library and edit something like their footprint.

Anyways, because the error message is so terribly vague on what is wrong, I hope this helps find the issue, for now some more complex design I have been working on will not work with the fusion syncing.

Hello,

For the design that still gives errors, is this a design that somebody else has worked on and may have added parts from a managed library of their own? There was somebody else having an issue a week or so ago and this turned out to be their problem, because they didn't have access to the managed library created by one of their colleagues so it failed. This might not be your situation but I thought I would mention it in case it helped narrow down the issue.

I have been the only one managing these libraries. But I have been doing a lot of house cleaning and reorganizing of libraries. Because of it likely being a library issue, I have been re-assigning parts to make sure they are associated to known parts.

I know this feature is still in beta, but it would be very helpful to get more feedback on errors, partially to help us report issues. Is there log files that would show more?

I've been using since and no more sync errors since the managed libraries.

However I vote for more clear feedback error os this amazing beta tool.

Hate to revive this thread but I too have run into problems with the Fusion Sync. I successfully pushed my PCB to Fusion a while back and was able to push over changes like changing size of mounting holes and it would run the changes over in a couple of minutes.

However as of late I had to change part of the positioning for 1 of my components and rewiring and somehow the Fusion Sync bugs out and displays a 401 error. I've updated all the libraries and using EAGLE 8.4.1 I actually had the sync running for 4 hours before it then told me there was sync problem and then displayed the 401 error code. Wondering if anyone able to help?

Hi @marcbrooks991,

It's definitely abnormal to use more than 4 hours to complete the sync. And the 401 error means the Fusion service has some problems to access the 3D models from your managed library. Can you try Fusion sync again and see if it works? If not, can you double check your design only contains the packages from the build-in library or your managed libraries?
