topic Error - Supply pin +15V overwitten with more than one signal in EAGLE Forum (Read-Only)

My schematic has a 25 pin D-Sub. The pins are assigned to different supplies such as +/-15V, AGND, and GND.

I defined the pin using label in the order of 1,2,3,....25. Meanwhile, I add the supplies to the pins. For example, I add +15V to pin 8. Please find the attached screenshot.

Then, I got error message "Supply pin +15V overwitten with more than one signal".

If this message will impact the final PCB, can I ignore it?

What is the correct way to do?

Thanks,

Dawn

Hi Dawn,

It took me a few minutes to work out what you did but I have managed to recreate what you are seeing.

So.... What you did was, attach a net to a pin and also say to GND. You did this for a couple of pins and then added labels to the nets and renamed the nets. This overrides the supply net GND for each instance which is a conflict.

You don't need to add labels and name the nets. The pins of the connectors themselves are numbered. For the pins that connect to +15V then just connect them to +15V, similarly for -15V, AGND and GND. Don't add labels on these and then try to rename the nets to make the labels match the connector pinout, this won't work as you are NAMING THE NET and not just adding a visual label.

Best Regards,
