I installed the new version of Eagle, I had the "Eagle.exe has stopped working" message, I uninstalled and reinstalled it two times it didn't work, so I reinstalled the 8.6 version that I had and now it has the same problem. I have windows 10 x64 bit, please help.

Please make sure you have the latest drivers installed from the manufacturer. If this continues to fail, launch EAGLE from the eagle_SW_openGL.bat file located in the EAGLE root folder.

Ok I downloaded the libeaey32 file using this site http://www.dlldownloader.com/libeay32-dll/, Copy it and paste it on the Eagle folder. Now it works Thank you all for helping me.

I installed Eagle 8.7.0 free download, and had the same problem. I tried replacing the libeay32.dll, and that did not resolve the issue. My system is a Dell Precision T1700 running 64 bit Windows7 professional. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks. Howard

Sorry for the inconvenience your currently experiencing, did you have an earlier version of EAGLE working? if you did, can you let me know which one was it. Does the same happen if you attempt launching EAGLE from the batch file?

I hope you're doing well. Currently, the module that is failing on your system is ntdll.dll. This is the most non-specific failure you could get. The general recommended procedure for when this error pops up is to try to update Windows. Make sure you have the latest version of your graphics drivers as well.

Hello jorge.garcia,

I checked with Windows Update, and my Windows 7 Pro shows that there are
no updates to be done, so it must be up to date. I then looked at the
drivers for the Nvidia Quadro K620 graphics controller. I did find a
newer driver and downloaded it and installed it. I rebooted the system,
and then tried to execute Eagle.exe. Unfortunately, the symptoms are the
same. Checking with the event viewer, the error still occurred within
ntdll.dll.

The CPU in my Dell T1700 workstation is an Intel Xeon E3-1226 v3 @
3.3ghz. There is 8 GB of RAM, and the OS is Windows 7 Professional with
Service Pack 1 installed. As far as I know, the Xeon and a Core Ix
should be compatible.

Do you have any other suggestions?
Is it possible that there are some systems that just won't run Eagle?

I hope you're doing well. I don't think there are systems incapable of running EAGLE but we still have to figure out how to deal with some of these rare errors.

Hi,

I installed 8.7 on a new installation of Win10 and I get the libeay32.dll error, I used one of Lifewires solution, the one where you copy the file from OpenSSL, after that Eagle started and worked fine but I'm unable to "Go Online", I am signed in but pressing go online does nothing and I can't check for updates either, which also means that I can't use Managed Libraries.

I have been running 9.2.0 on my desktop for a while now without any issues. However, today when I tried to running it I got the following error (see image). I also had a drive crash a few weeks ago, so I am not sure if that is the root cause. I did install version 9.3.0 and I got the same error. Following the assumption that my drive is the issue, I ran sfc /scannow and ran into another error "SFC Windows Resource Protection Could not Perform the Requested Operation". So, then I did CHKDSK, which didn't show any issues. But, I still ran into the same SFC error. So, now according to "https://www.easeus.com/todo-backup-resource/windows-resource-protection-could-not-perform-the-requested-operation.html", my last option is to reinstall my system...

I have not noticed any other issues with my computer and would really like to not reinstall my OS. So, do you have any suggestions?

Also, as a side note, I am completely and utterly done with Windows after this. I am so glad Eagle can run on Linux! Because this was the last issue to push me to completely deserting Windows. Now, I just need to figure out how to run Fusion 360 on Linux or settle for the web-based version.
