Layer 2 not available in free version when running DRC

When I run the DRC function in the free edition on my 2 layer board, I get the following error:

The layer setup contains layer 2,which is not available in the free edition!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but everywhere I look online the free edition supports at least 2 layers. This also generates errors for all the vias and traces on the bottom layer. 😞

Hello,

The two layers you need to use in the free license are 1 and 16. 1 is always the top layer and 16 is always the bottom layer. When you have a paid license and add in additional layers you add them in in pairs working inwards from both sides, so if you had a 6 layer board it would be layers 1, 2, 3, 14, 15, and 16.
