Quick video: how to create a part & attach a 3rd party 3D model end to end...

Hi All --

I was answering a support case and though we have a TON of tutorials over on the EAGLE Youtube channel, I wanted to try my hand at something < 4 mins that took you thru a creating a part and adding a STEP model I downloaded from digikey. Since the content was current with EAGLE v9.2 I thought this might be helpful. No audio, just straight visuals and fast, fast, fast! Video below or here!

That is a great, stratight-forward example. Thanks.

One minor quibble to help out any newbies who are viewing this. The >NAME text should really go on the tName layer, not tPlace. It will end up on the same gerber but there is a layer specifically for the names and it helps sometimes to have that separated out. For instance, the some ULP's make use of that information.
