It adds the part to the board but the places the text separately and far away from each part causing me to have to "Reposition Attributes" for every part I add to a board which is pretty annoying not to mention it spreads the parts out even further than it usually does (which is another long time eagle gripe.. Having to scroll 20" to pick up a resistor and move it near the board).
