(1) Delete drills (2) Backup file issue

So I placed the drill legend...OK.....in search of a via. Now that I moved stuff after, I need to delete the snapshot of the drills left behind. OK...but not so easy. (1) Is there no way to delete them all at once? The group indeed highlights them, but DELETE does not delete them. Kinda silly that I have to remove each drill line to clean the board. I have to be missing something

Every time I make a schematic or something, it turns into a lot of work. I had to actually redo an entire board because SCH and BRD were having some issue with the inconsistent message...I noted some reference to a #file thing thing...(2) Does Eagle keep backups of stuff every time an auto route is run?...if one rips up a board who cares what it was before..it would be nice to ratnest the board after moving stuff, auto route and if i see a better way, move parts. Reroute...but things go really nuts here....at least with me.

Getting to be quite an exercise playing with maybe 20 components...

Eagle is getting a bit of a battle...not sure whats goin on from day to day when I simply mod spoemthing by adding a compant in the scehjatic or move it in the boaard. Its just never smooth....and both editpors are open.

Hi @Anonymous,

I hope you're doing well. EAGLE makes backups every time you save and every 5 minutes(by default) between saves. You can find these in your project directory, using your file explorer. EAGLE doesn't show the backups so the way to see them is to use your OS's file explorer. The schematic backups are named s#x and the board backups are named b#x where x is an integer. To restore a backup all you have to do is rename the extensions to sch and brd respectively. That will allow EAGLE to open them.

When running the autorouter it's CRITICAL to click End job at some point to complete the autorouting process. If you don't you'll have all these saved routes and the autorouter will be in this hanging state. As you continue to make changes to the design the board will move farther and farther away from the saved routes of the autorouter and EAGLE can slowly slip into an indeterminate state.
