ONE LAYER DXF EXPORT

I designed a double-sided pcb and I will print it out as dxf and print it on the pcb with laser. When it outputs as dxf, it gives both sides. How can I get the sides separately as dxf.

Click the Layer icon and hide the layers you don't want then export as DXF. All visible layers will be exported to the DXF.

ı doooo thx but ı have last problem. If I say export from the top left file and get dxf, I get a single layer, but it becomes striped. If I get it from the manufacturing section on the left, I get the double layer but the version I want. I don't know if I could explain myself. I'd better answer the part I don't understand.

It looks like the inverse, so copper where bare board should be and bare board where copper should be.

I tested the DXF function and it works as I described.

'Export from top left file' has no meaning to me. Also 'manufacturing section on left' has no meaning. The manufacturing tab is on the right side but that is just a pic that can be exported as a png.

Nothing you said makes any sense. You will either need to explain the issue more or provide the files (sch/brd) and I can take a look at it.

I don't know how to explain more. I find file has double layer, how do I reduce it to single layer. I did what you said but it didn't quite work. I just want to get the paths of a single layer in dxf format. (This is a small test drawing.)

Clearly you have not done what I said otherwise it would be working and you would have clicked on the button to accept it as a solution. Check the layer window. Select HIDE LAYERS then all will be turned off. Then click on only the one layer you want and you will see an eye next to it which means it's visible. Then do the DXF export.

If it's just a test attach the files here and I will check it. If you refuse to cooperate then we can't really help you beyond what has already been provided.

you can try to get rid of the stripes on the "i find.png" sample file you added by typing

ripup @;

into the command line immediately before exporting the dxf. this will un-fill all the polygons. when you export they will also be unfilled (no stripes). The outline of the polygon will still export but not all the lines you see in your sample png.

no. ı need pads. Use rastnest and save 12v and gnd ways to pin.

ah ok, then you wont be able to get it without the "stripes" as you say from the file->export dxf option.

Which program do you use to open the dxfs?

You can export form the manufacturing tab, then just hide the bottom layers in the program you are importing the dxf into perhaps? results in something like this

I've tried several different viewers over the web. I want the opposite. In the top_only file, the lines are between two lines, but I want to separate the paths with a single line.

the lines are the edges of the copper pour i believe. but i dont know if i understand exactly what you mean when you say "the lines are between two line". The lines in the dxf are the outlines of the traces because in the dxf file format i dont think lines can have thickness or width. So to show a trace you draw the outline of it. otherwise you have something like this:

you see the traces are just thin lines now. is that what you mean?

mmm. i think it is already as you want? for example in the red image you posted above the laser just needs to remove the white area? although in your image you are missing the pads. What is happening is what is in example "3", not 1 or 2. The grey area is the area you need to remove with laser.

also regarding program to open dxf: i am using cambam, there is a free trial but after 40 uses it not free. so maybe try librecad or some other totally free cad program that can open dxf.
