Hi Autodesk Community, I am doing some basic SPICE simulation and when I use examples everything simulates well but when I do a similar design using the components from the ngspice lib I keep getting this error

Circuit: * spicenetlist

Doing analysis at TEMP = 0.000000 and TNOM = 27.000000

Warning: v_vcur_1: has no value, DC 0 assumed

No. of Data Rows : 1

Error(parse.c--checkvalid): Sim.sch.sim: no such vector.

Note: No ".plot", ".print", or ".fourier" lines; no simulations run

My design is as follows

I will appreciate any help handed to this, Thanks

Your schematic in general it looks perfectly fine .. can you post the full netlist from the netlist tab in the simulation dialog? .... I am wondering if the FET has a model mapped to it or not .. if i can see the netlist i am sure i can find the problem

Hi Thanks for the reply, I later found out the problem was with the way I was saving my schematic, it was Model Sim.sch, but the simulator was looking for Sim.sch hence finding none, I therefore had to remove the spacing in the naming and the simulator was happy.

Yes that was going to be the next question ... we need to add a check for that, but the way the simulator processes things, design files and model files need to not have any spaces in the names .. glad you found it .. i will make sure we add a check for this, or make sure spaces are not an issue
