Welcome to our forums. The recommended approach is to copy the component of interest to your personal library and make changes there, leaving the original unaltered. This is easy to do. <BR /><BR />1. In the EAGLE control panel &gt; File &gt; New &gt; Library<BR />2. In the table of contents view at the bottom of each of the 4 columns you can add a new device/footprint/3Dpackage/Symbol.<BR />3. Click the add button for the type of item you want to create.<BR />4. In the dialog that pops up click import... This will allow you to bring in assets from other libraries.<BR />5.
