Thank you very much for your fast feedback. We updated /download the files in the Library Manager and now it works. Why is access to the Library Manager only available on this way?

Hi!

We have the same issue. If I go on library.io from my colleague I can see here libraries, but I don't see the libraries in Eagle 9.5.2 anymore. I tried the following thinks to find a workaround:

- restart Eagle

- Go Offline and Online

- Press F5

- restart Eagle again

I can't find any solution to this bug. By the way... When we get a Eagle revision without any annoying bugs?

Hi @tim.rettmann,

I hope you're doing well. Remember to go to the Library Manager > Available Tab and download whatever libraries are on the managed folder that you want to use. Once that is done they should appear in the EAGLE control panel. That's the key point, make sure to go to the library manager and download the managed libraries from the managed folder you want to work with.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

Hello @anuradha.bodke,

I hope you're doing well. For 1) see my response below. For 2) A local library is a library that is stored as a file on your computer and is only available on your computer. A Managed Library is stored on the cloud and can be shared with other users. When working with a managed library, you'll have a local copy to which you make edits but you'll need to push those edits to the cloud to keep the library in sync across multiple users.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

Hi @tim.rettmann,

I'm happy it's working for you. As to why it has to work this way, imagine a scenario where you are sharing not just a few managed libraries but 10's maybe even 100's, would you want all of those libraries hogging your internet connection while they download? That's why they don't automatically pop up when you are added to a managed folder.

With that said I definitely believe the experience can and should improve. Maybe a notification that you've been added and some options to import a first set of libraries.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,
