Hello @Anonymous,

Is the image of the board layout still in the Fusion File? Besides the outline did anything else come into EAGLE.

The image is the thing that isn't very common so I'm exploring that route first.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

I am a complete beginner to Eagle and also to the autodesk forum. I have made a PCB in fusion 360, I successfully pulled my PCB design from fusion to eagle. At first I had made my schematic, placed it on my design board and when I tried to push it back into Fusion. I would keep getting the same error msg, and then when I went back into fusion and to try and reopen the file that I had just pulled into eagle. Another error msg would come up saying that the file I was trying to open was currently being saved and if I'd want to open a later version. After countless attempts, I tried to simplify my edit to try and push back to fusion. All I did was add a few holes on the board and still got the same error when trying to push back to fusion. Can someone please help me?

Hello @Anonymous,

Looking at the pictures it almost looks like you are trying to link multiple boards to the same Fusion file. This is not a typical workflow so you may be excercising something an area of the functionality that hasn't been fully explored. If you could provide more details, that would be super helpful.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

Hello Jorge,

Thank you for getting back to me. Really appreciate it. Yes, at first I had (12) different boards saved in one file and was trying to pull each board. I was able to pull but not push back to fusion.

After thinking this may have been the issue, I proceeded to save the file with only one of the twelve pcb. So below is exactly what I did in fusion and eagle.

I imported a picture into fusion, traced the image of what the board layout needed to be. Created the pcb in fusion. I proceeded to pull the single board into eagle. Just to keep it simple and to try push back to fusion. I added just one diode, to try and push back into fusion with a 3D package to see the render possibly. And I wasn’t able to push back to fusion. It kept saying the same error.

Basically, my goal is to produce a component footprint layout to be able to print it and transfer it onto my clad. My project is to etch a layout of my choice onto a customized board layout that I have to make.

I see. I’m not sure if the image is in the background. But all I can see that is pulled into fusion is the pcb. I will remove the image from the design in fusion and try pulling again.

I was wondering if maybe there are limitations because I’m using the education license?

I have removed the images and removed any redundant sketches from the file. I successfully create one PCB. I successfully pull it into Eagle. I placed two resistors with 3D packages just to see if this has fixed the issue and the same problem occurs. I try to push back to Fusion and my "Fusion 360" icon on the right goes from green to red and it does not work. I've attached photos below. I get the same error prompt. I then go back to fusion and refresh my files. A PDF of the error appears (picture provided below). I can open a web version of the PDF and I cannot open my Fusion file anymore. I get an error in the bottom right area and it says that the file cannot be downloaded. I will add another post to add the remaining pictures.

Hello @Anonymous,

Let's try something just to see if it's something unique to the design. From EAGLE try pushing the design with the two diodes to a brand new Fusion project. Is that successful?

Let me know if you continue to run into problems.

Best Regards,
