STEP File export not updating

I'm trying to export a STEP file, and the file is being created but doesn't show changes I've made to the PCB. I've tried saving under a new file name, removing all the old .STEP export files, clearing the notifications in the control panel, signing out and back in again, and nothing is working. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm using Solidworks to view the .STEP files, though I don't think that should make a difference.

Any help is appreciated!

Hi jesseX3GJ5,

I hope you're doing well. What are the changes you are making? The step model export focuses on the 3D geometry of the board it will not include traces or the silkscreen of the board.

Sorry for the delay, I had to move to other parts of this project.

At first I was just trying to update a 3D package for a part I built, and wasn't seeing changes reflected in the STEP output. To be honest, it could be that I don't fully understand how the 3D package relates to the rest of a custom device, and don't think we need to get into that here. Assuming I was doing something wrong with that, I added a hole to the board just for testing and exported again. The hole was not included in the exported STEP.

Well, it looks like the issue isn't with the STEP files, but with Solidworks in this case. When I viewed the STEPs with a different viewer, they are accurate. I'll take it up with Solidworks. Thanks!
