board and schematic not consistent Eagle 360 2020

hello, I work with Eagle for over 10 years and am trying to switch to Eagle running under 360. not so easy...

I have no idea why time after time there is the message that board and schematic are not consistent. Of course I know the error, but have no clue why it happens here.

I have schematic and board open, apply changes to the schematic and switch to the board. most of the time this works, but also I have had many times the message. and cannot fix this. or is there a way to fix this error easily, since it happens so often?

Why does it happen anyway? I do not close a window and work in the other.

Hello @rvanvreden,

I hope you're doing well. Make sure that when you are working with Fusion 360 Electronics you open the design from the Electronics Design document. Even more important, when you go to save your design Click Save on the Electronics design document. You'll see the the save operation trickles down to the schematic and the board. If you save the board or the schematic directly only that file gets saved in Fusion360. This is the part that's probably creating the problem and it's something we are working on improving.

I'd like to ask you if possible, in the future to post to the Fusion360 Electronics forum any issues related to the Fusion360 Electronics workflow. If it's OK with you I'd like to ask the moderators to relocate this thread.

Hello Jorge, Thanks for the reply.

indeed, I save the board, I save the schematic but also sometimes seperate. When I leave my design, I save all three of them. I might go wrong there.

So if I understand you correctly, I only have to save the Electronics design document? Or all three?

I will post in future to the Electronics workflow.

Hello Rob,

You only have to save the Electronics Design document. When you do it, look at the tabs of the schematic and board files and you'll see that the version numbers of the schematic and board will increment after a few seconds.
