Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding dynamic blocks. I have a block consisting of two pieces and i need to move one of them. At the time being i move the second part with the Point-Parameter and the Move-Action. But I wanted to ask if there is a way to move the second part by marking it and then using the STRETCH command?

It would help me to move the second part of more blocks at the same time instead of moving one at a time.

Thanks

Gabriel

Post your block in a blank drawing and post some examples of what you want it to do

Using the STRETCH command on any block (regardless of whether or not it is dynamic) will result in the entire block moving. You cannot use the STRETCH command on a block in order to move only part of it. You can add dynamic parameters/actions, select the block, and use the dynamic grip or properties to change the parameter value(s) and consequently stretch parts of the block dynamically.

Hi and thanks for your reply,
I already have it like that. The problem is just that sometimes I have 10 to 20 of these blocks next to each other and then I have to move the second part of the block individually for eveyone of them via a grip.
After some research I found out that some people have created a lisp macro for that but I only have AutoCAD LT so I can't use it.

Hi,

This is an example of block to display what I wanna do. I want to move the second rectangle with the STRETCH command. Why? because sometimes I have 10 to 20 blocks of them and I want to move them together instead of individually via the grip. Is there a solution to it?

Thank you

If it is multiple blocks consisting of just those two rectangles. Probably the easiest way would be put a polar stretch in there (see the image below).

Then when you come to make your "changes" they can all be done in the PROPERTIES menu.

I understood what you wanted and the reasons. However, the fact that you want to use the STRETCH command and the reasons why you want to use the STRETCH command doesn't matter. The STRETCH command will not stretch individual parts of a block. That's simply not the way it works. As hwalker suggests, you can select any number of blocks that share the same parameter, and adjust that parameter value in Properties. If that's not what you're looking for, then you are out of luck.
