Community,

I have a threaded rod block that contains a Flip action.

After executing the Flip action the first time, the block appears to behave correctly.

After the second use of the Flip action, the Path Array becomes distorted.

Subsequent use of the Flip action results in an alternating good-bad result.

I have set the BACTIONBARMODE to both 0 and 1 when selecting the objects to be flipped, but did not see a change in the behavior.

Any ideas what may be causing this issue? I am sure it will be something simple I have overlooked.

Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to your replies.

Regards,

Jerry

Had I done so - I'm sure a different solution would have been offered to support a flip action.

I suspect the offset paths were to help visualize the two arrays. They worked great.

I did try adding a flip state to your schematic thread solution that used Array actions, but it did not behave well.

Again - my apologies for not stating that I would need a flip action. The solution to the problem I presented worked great.

Had I told you that it was going to be flipped, you probably would have advised accordingly.

I shall try to state the complete goal in future posts.

I certainly appreciate your solutions and time that you and the others ( @h_s_walker , @j.palmeL29YX ) contribute to this community.

It's really the same issue. Dynamic grip movement always follows the associated parameter point. You have the grips offset from the parameter points so when the parameter is flipped, the grip is offset the same amount but the opposite direction horizontally and vertically. The upper grips remain in their positions because the grips are not offset from the parameter points. Redo the parameter point locations so that they match the grip locations you want. See attached.

Maybe do a 180 rotation instead of a Flip and avoid any of the flip related issues.
