The steps I described before would make these two areas grow/shrink with the stretch:

If you want the block to work in that manner then you need to make a couple adjustments to the two stretch actions that are associated with the width. The selection set for Stretch1 should not include the rightmost short vertical line. The right side of the window for Stretch2 should be extended to be outside the rightmost short vertical line. The selection set for Stretch2 should not include the long horizontal lines that are the bottom of the title block and above that top text object.

Basically Im working on a title block that can be used on a letter, 11 x 17 or D-Size.

I would like it to be as simple as a lookup and select the size perferred, however as Im trying to do this it doesnt stretch the title block on the bottom.

I want to maintain the spacing in the title block for the different size or at least close to it.

Im sure this is not that complicated, but it has been a little while since using AutoCAD. I have attached the drawing as a block with what im trying to accomplish.

HELP!

The file you posted does not have any parameters or actions. I would start with a distance parameter for width and a distance parameter for height. I would add a stretch action to the height parameter with a window around the top two corners and a selection set of the two sides and top. I would add two stretch actions to the width. One would be around the right two corners and north arrow block and the selection set would include the three horizontal lines, north arrow block and the right side vertical line. The second action would surround the three text columns in the middle of the sheet and the selection set would include the 4 vertical lines, the horizontal lines between text objects and the text objects. The second stretch would have a distance multiplier of 0.5. Next, add your lookup. Input the desired size names on the right. Add the two linear distance parameters as input properties and add the appropriate values to the table.

The scale is 2D. I do not know of a way to scale on just one axis. Your paper sizes are not similar rectangles. Also, do you really want your text size to scale? If you really do, then you could scale the text box based on the X axis and it would grow to fit the X-axis and proportionately grow on the Y-axis and then keep the stretch for the Y axis. That wouldn't be my choice as it will result in either proportionately huge text in arch D or tiny text in Letter. I would also note that Arch D is 24 x 36 not 22 x 34.

I did this a while back and have used it in a couple of places, it is controlled by a table with columns for the height (stretch), width (stretch0 and the titlebox width (Scale). In addition there is a visibility parameter for text which displays the sheet size.

This allows for Portrait and Landscape formats as well as different sizes of title box for larger and smaller sheets but not necessarily in proprtion, eg the A2 sheet has the smaller or larger box available. similarly the A1 and A0 have the same size of titlebox

The assumptions are that the margins will be the same for each sheet size so the gap to the crop mark margins are kept constant.

The company logo is in a nested block, this way if it is an inserted image file it will still scale correctly whereas I found scaling the image directly very unpredictable, the same could be done with a client logo if required.
