Dynamic array block with adjustable source object size

I'm trying to build a dynamic array where I have three grips to

1. set the array spacing

2. set the total length

3. set the size of the source object

I have tried with two blocks using different methods, but I cannot get all three grips to work at the same time!!! So frustrating. Anyone got ideas?

In the v1 block, I have an array path where I set the distance between items with an expression set to a horizontal constraint parameter. I tried to adjust the size of the source object with a stretch action, but does not work.

In the v2 block, I used an array action, but I cannot get the distance between objects to be an expression, it requires a fixed value.

Thanks for the idea. That's an interesting idea to use a move action. But it doesn't really hit my target, as there is a min and max length where this work. I want to be able to stretch my object arbitrarily long, or short such that the straight section of that pline is to zero.

In that case, you cannot satisfy all of your criteria within a dynamic block.

Hi @Libbya Is there a way to get the Column Offset property of an Array Action to show up as a property? I've tried setting it to a user parameter, but that doesn't work.

Nope.

You cannot dynamically alter the column offset of a dynamic array action.

You cannot dynamically alter the source objects of an array created using the ARRAY command.

Here's one other version. It does not perfectly satisfy the criteria, but you may be able to use the idea or modify it to make it functionally adequate. Good luck.
