Hello,

How do you parameterize something like that without using visibility?

n= 1 to 6 selected by the user

Hello and welcome to the forum! I feel like this would be possible with some lisp code, but I'm not sure a dynamic block by itself has that much built in flexibility. Let's see what the experts in here say. Good luck!

@m_falowski is "A" a fixed distance or is it variable. Same with the height of both rectangles

The dimensions of the red rectangle are fixed, while the height of the large rectangle is variable.

Unfortunately, what I tried didn't work. The only way I can see it being done is visibility states

Why don't you want to use visibility states? That's the easy way.

Make 6 visibility states, one for each specific number of small rectangles. Add the appropriate stretch/move actions so that the large rectangle is stretched and the small rectangles in each visibility state appear in the correct positions relative to the large rectangle.

If you insist on not using visibility states, then you could create a path array of the small rectangles using the ARRAY command and using a construction line for the path. Create a user parameter for the number of items in the array. Insert that user parameter into the array property and use formulae for the appropriate spacing.

My example is simple, but in the project I want to use other functions to reduce the combination of the visibility table.
Currently in the project for visibility I have 8 options of 6 values. This gives too many permutations.
