Yes. I'd try to reset to default settings first. Much easier than a full reinstall.

Also. Since the arrow does seem to start a command. I'm thinking a 3rd party app or a Lisp might have changed it.

Hi All,

When I click on the diagonal arrow in the lower right corner of the dimensions panel on the annotation tab, a drop down list appears (shown in the screenshot), but there's no option to open up the dimstyle manager.

I've also tried typing in "DIMSTY" and ".DIMSTY", and the same options pop up in the command line.

It seems like a weird setting was switched? FileDIA is set to 1. How do I get the Dimstyle Manager to show up again???

I don't know about the problem with the Ribbon. But DDIM on the command line should work.

BTW. Can you over over the arrow and see what the tool tip says?

Thank you! DDIM did work. That solves our immediate problem. Do you know how to tell AutoCAD to open up the Dimstyle Manager when that arrow is clicked, or when the "dimstyle" command is used?

When I hover over the arrow, the attached tool tip pops up.

I don't know specifically. Try typing .DIMSTYLE note the preceding period. If that works it means the command was somehow undefined.

Yeah, using the ".DIMSTYLE" with the period did not work. Guess we may have to do a clean reinstall of CAD to get it back to normal. But thank you so much for the DDIM suggestion!

Hi Betsy,

As our experts mentioned, I’d also recommend trying to reset your AutoCAD settings to default. This can often resolve strange behavior like what you’re experiencing.

If the issue persists after resetting, a clean reinstall might be the next step, but resetting is much easier and quicker to try first!

Let us know how it goes!
