Serial Number Location

Hey All,

Just had the pleasure of dealing with a ransomware attack and I'm in the process of re-installing Civil 3D on all the workstations.

When I log onto the Autodesk administrator account, under products I see Civil 3D and I can Download Civil 3D, but under activation it says sign in but I'm already signed in.

Can someone tell me where I can find the serial number to activate my Civil 3D?

Type "About" hit Enter, then select Manage Licence and select the icon

serial number comes when selecting language version / below this serial number and product key

Sorry guys but I'm not seeing anything that shows a serial number.

Could this be the solution?

I uninstalled civil 3d and reinstalled, this time with the hotfix. When I opened Civil 3D, it asked me to log into my Autodesk account then everything seemed to work. It never asked me to activate the software. Is it possible that you no longer need the serial number but provide usage rights though the administrator accounts , then log into your AutoCad to account to use the software? If this is the case, I'm questioning if the software will work when the internet is down.

Any input here would be apprecitated.

software works without internet but when you use for example GEOLOCATION or other applications if you need internet

for the rest in the experience I have of helping to install student version software, many times when they install online that instant they no longer ask them to activate. but when they download and then install if it comes to ask them in my experience. I hope this contribution will serve

you go to autodesk.com / free software for students / you are looking for civil 3d / you enter with your account and you will see what you see in the image

you will need them sometime. I sent you an image where you can see again serial number and product key

most software nowadays requires and email address - not a serial number given this thread is 4 years old.
