Pipe Network Crash

I have two separated pipes not connected, no struvtures, and pipes are on the same network. The pipes are identicle. When I move one end of a pipe close to the end of the other pipe it tries to connect and freezes CAD.

In a similar situation, when I create pipes and structures at once using the network editor, if I insert pipes and null structures, CAD freezes.

Probably the two issues are related and I suspect the null structure because if I create pipes and structures at once using the network editor but selecting a different structure it works correctly.

This has happened across multiple installs of CAD and replacement of pipe catalog folders.

I recently ran across the same issue for a user. No solution so far.

Hi @adamTPTQA

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting. Did you get the crash error dialog box? If yes, please pm me the email address you enter to submit the crash.

Do you by any chance have a way to reproduce this problem? Can you share the steps? It'll be helpful if you send that drawing my way, I will make sure to have a look at it.

Thank you for reporting this.

@lim.wendy - there is no error message or dialog. C3D just stops responding, for as long as you want to wait. Yes, it's easy to reproduce.

So you want us to send you this info, or submit a support request via the manage portal? Isn't the latter preferred so this bug can get into the system?

I started with a stock CAD drawing file and created a pipe network then duplicated the steps but found that it did not crash/freeze.

I believe the issue is due to some sort of corruption associated with the Null Structure in my company template drawing. I will troubleshoot further.

So nobody got this fixed? I believe that a rectangular structure on a parabolic or warped surface, in other words not flat, will cause this freeze.

Nevermind, I changed the style to standard and I was able to place the structure with no problem.
