So your not see your frames in your Design file, I would check the style in your starting template, make sure its not off, or that layer 0 is not off. I looked at your sheet file. It looks correct. Maybe some pics.

When I create a view frame group / view frames. They do not appear in model space. The view frame group is visible in the prospector tab, but not in Model Space. I think there might be something wrong with my template, but I don't want to have to rebuild it ☹️

I tried to create view frames using your template and they do not appear, nor the matchlines and labels. I can't find out why, the obvious answer, layer is off/frozen is not it. Your template seems too big - 6+mb. I don't know what all is in there that makes it so big. Commands take forever to execute, but RECOVER doesn't find errors. I don't know. I might start over from a blank drawing.

You can import styles (Manage tab) and this might be useful. At the least I would try to get a viewframe style that works in a blank drawing then import that style into the template. If you start completely over you should be able to import styles and use Design Center to import Autocrud features (blocks, layers, dim styles, etc.), and copy/paste for some things (borders, street block in model space). For what it's worth I tired to import a Basic view frame style that I know works into the bad dwg and it still doesn't show up. This tells me your template drawing is hosed.

I wouldn't insert the apparently bad dwg as an exploded block because you'll be bringing in whatever is wrong with it.

If I start with a blank dwg (see attached) and import all the styles from your template the view frames work. All the styles come in along with the blocks, layers, text styles, etc. that they use. If you go this route you'll still need to account for any missing layers, blocks, dim styles, etc. I would use DC for this.

Hi @khughesRWC

The View Frame is turned off in the Display Manager!

on the command line type DISPLAYMANAGER > in the dialog expand Representation by Object > go all the way down and Select View Frame > select the check box for Model and Plan > click Apply then OK

Repeat for the Match Line representation! You will probably need to modify this setting in your template and any drawing that was created from your current template!

Hi @Anonymous

It plays a major role in AutoCAD Architecture which Civil 3D ultimately inherits!

The reason why I found out about it is because I was so curious why Profile Views magically disappears in 3D orbit the model 😊
