Which surface should be promoted? And how do you actually promote a surface? I don't see that as an option when I right-click on any of the surfaces in Prospector.

And I don't think either surfaces need to be repaired, when I right click on them, there's no option to repair.

Volume between two surfaces which intersect?

Hi all,

I know that this question has been asked many times, but I can't quite find an answer that works for me.

I am working on a bridge project. I have an existing ground TIN surface from survey. I created a rough surface to represent the "bottom of excavation" to build the spread footing for the bridge, with a 2:1 slope coming away from a flat bottom.

The bottom of excavation surface extends up past the existing ground surface. I want to find what the volume is between the two surfaces. I have tried creating a Tin Volume surface, using the ground surface as the base and my excavation surface as the comparison, but nothing is created and no volume report is generated. Screen recording attached.

Any help or insight anyone can provide would be a great help!

Maybe a glitch in the surface data reference communication.. can you Promote that surface or repair the data reference?
