topic Title Block - Profile text not showing - Scale/annotation issues? in Civil 3D Forum

Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with a profile grid in a drawing using a new title block that was provided to me. The viewports in the title block are already established, and while most elements display correctly, the text in the profile grid (stations and elevations) is extremely small and does not scale properly.

Here are the details:

The text style being used in the profile grid is the same one used elsewhere in the drawing, and it displays correctly outside of the profile grid.

The text is annotative, but switching to a non-annotative text style in the profile style does not resolve the issue.

The scale in model space and in the viewport matches.

The same profile style works perfectly in another drawing with a different title block under identical settings.

Is there a setting or property in the title block or viewport configuration that could be affecting the profile grid text?

Check to make sure that your drawing units are not set to inches. While in the layout tab, go to Toolspace, the settings tab, right click on the drawing name at the top, and select Drawing Settings. On the Units and Zone tab, make sure that the top left box is set to the proper unit.

Also, I have found, since Civil 3D styles are always annotative, it is best to avoid using annotative objects within those styles. They act funny when things need to be exported to AutoCAD.
