You can do this with Dynamo 💪. Firstly, you need to make sure your property set definition applies to both "structures" AND "Pipe or Structure Profile",

The script also assumes you've already applied the property set definition to the "structure profiles", I used a shortcut and use AECPSDAUTOATTACH and they all get applied automatically, but still blank of course. You could make the script fancy to have it apply a property set definition if you told it what the name was.

The script input is to have you select all the profile structures you want to get updated (it will filter everything except "structures" so you can use a window selection). I haven't done robust testing but I got it to work with a single pipe network and selecting a few structure profiles and manual entry fields only. "Automatic" type properties will likely just be skipped.

Below is the graph and see attached .dny script file:

If you'd like to learn more about Dynamo for Civil 3D, come join the Dynamo forum here: https://forum.dynamobim.com/invites/JTm9w75CjK

Let me know if this helps!

Hi, I created a property set data for pipe network structures. Because I would like to label a manhole type beside the structure. In plan view, The property set data can be labeled on pipe structures. However, On the profile view of pipe network, all the property set data cannot be shown. Then, I select the pipe structure on profile view, property set data is not attached. How to solve this problem ? Thanks

Thank you for posting and sharing sample file.

Based on my understanding, Pipes and Structures in layout are different type of objects then the one projected on the Profile View, although they have the connection between.

However, as these are different, then Property Data Sets attached to Pipe or Structure Profile objects may not represent the same information.

I did some tests over your file, and the Structure Profile label can display some information from PSD, but that information has to be manually filled out in Structure Profile PS Extended Data. Please see:

Nice job diving into Dynamo! Hmm I haven't tried specifically trying to update only the profile objects from excel file but you might need to be more specific with your property set "applies to" column (use only profile related objects) or use the very specific handle id to match instead.

Thanks for the response! I came across this link going on the Google worm hole and it looks like I’ll have to select the pipes individually in the profile view to assign data. In my area, the reviewing agencies want both the 100yr and 25yr storm event results for storm drain displayed in the profile view. I can get the data into excel but trying to figure out how to get it to label in the profile views. Any suggestions?

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/civil-3d/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Property-Data-Set-Information.html
