Trying to remember if you can have a Text line in a label style, you can turn off the Z but then you dont get Rl.=0. Will have a play later.

Is there a way to change the 3D geometry of all point styles at once to "Flatten Points to Elevation"?

sorry if I misunderstood the question. But I am assuming you want to make all the points have some all have elevation X?

easiest two ways that came to mind is to

1. export points into CSV and use excel to modify all the elevation at once and then re import the points.

2. create a flat surface with elevation at X and select all cogo points and use the "elevation from Surface command"

Thanks for responding, but what I meant was...

Under Toolspace, Settings tab

Under Points>Point Styles,

right click to edit any point style - on the 3D Geometry tab - change Point Display Mode - Flatten Points to Elevation

I would like to change all the point styles at once to "Flatten Points to Elevation" instead of doing it for each and every point style individually.

The actual elevation is not what is being changed, just the point style itself.

Thanks again for any suggestions

short answer is no

long answer is how do you have more than 10 point styles that it would prove to be a significant hassle to edit each one by one (ok nevermind I just checked my recent projects and it is very easy to get above 10 and becomes a hassle). Also here is a "in hindsight" comment that you should've have established a parent child relationship between the point styles so that you can just change the parent and the changes would propagate to the children.

actually look into if you can somehow still establish child parent at this point.

i guess your only solution is dynamo or some other coding alternatives

At least once you have it done in one drawing you can _ImportStylesAndSettings to other drawings, so you don't need to manually edit them again... and get mad 😉

This is probably the best work-around and I have been doing something similar with my template drawings. But sometimes I just want to make sure and end up going through each point style to check.

It is possible to do so many other things 'globally' in Civil 3D.

I was just hoping there was something I may have been missing.

Thanks for your kind reply.
